Strong heritage of various asset managers, including Columbia Wanger Asset Management, Marsico Capital Management, LLC, Stein Roe & Farnham

Columbia is the primary asset management group for Bank of America. The firm was established in 2002 as the asset management division of FleetBoston Financial Corporation. On 4/1/04, when FleetBoston Financial merged with Bank of America Corporation (NYSE: BAC) to make one of the largest financial institutions in the world, Columbia Management became a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of America. We believe that joining with Bank of America preserves and leverages our strengths, allowing us to continue to deliver to our investment management clients a full range of traditional and innovative financial products. We have been managing assets through our predecessor organizations since the early 1900s.

The Technology Portfolio is managed by two portfolio managers who attempt to identify and exploit themes, trends, and instances of market overreaction combined with efficient trading techniques to achieve its goal. The team believes that incorporating a diverse range of views leads to more comprehensive and consistent insight into the factors affecting both the market and individual companies.

The S&P 500 Index was added to provide a broad market-based benchmark instead of just a broad-based technology sector benchmark. Results include reinvested dividends.

The Merrill Lynch 100 Technology Index is an equally weighted index of 100 leading technology stocks. Results include reinvested dividends.
